What i actually like about these mods is they actually have a factory look if you ask me. They do look nice but to me they don't look particularly custom to an untrained eye.... We can see it as a nice mod, but i'm not a fan of things that LOOK like you're trying too hard... if someone doesn't know the car and they ask if you've customized it... i think it's tacky. A well done mod should look good and go un-noticed or should get positive commentary as a nice feature in the car. VW beetle and PT Cruiser come to mind. I'm not saying i think those are the greatest cars, but i think the color treatments in them look better than without. i think the all black interior looks particularly drab, if not depressing, in the elise anyway... so some color is a welcome change.

Installed today. Picture attached (i can send high resolution original if you like--not the best composition effort though. I will take a better one). Outstanding work on all pieces. Excellent clarity of detail on the logo, finish is superb, and color match is spot on. The nylon washers on the lidbone make a huge difference, giving it a more solid, intentional, oem-feel. The machining work also resolves the chafe issues I experienced previously. Would recommend to other buyers to not do one without the other. I appreciate your customer service, and I expect I will be coming back to order the rest of the interior bits to match as well.

After many hours of labor ripping my Elise's interior out, my audio system install is complete! Chuck and Rich at C.A.R.S are selling a top quality product... The new audio system is infinitely better than stock and the craftsmanship on the sub-box and color matched console is incredible. My kit included sub-box, install kit (amp bracket, wiring and reinstall bits), 2 color matched console pieces and air control surround. Their kit included a CD that detailed the install and helped make this project a success. I am a very satisfied customer...but kinda wished I went with their full kit, cause tuning the system is now going to take quite a few more hours.

Just had this custom paint work done by Rich and Chuck from Customized Automotive Resonating Systems (CARS). These guys are meticulous, and do beautiful work--it completely changes the feel of the interior, IMO. The painting is flawless, and matches perfectly. They also do a parts exchange, for a deposit, they do the painting on parts they stock, so you don't lose the use of your car in the meantime. Not an employee or a paid sponsor, just a happy customer.

Hi Richard, My Elise sparkplug cover arrived today (ardent red with silver writing and colored logo) - All I can say is WOW !!!
When I read some of the posts on LotusTalk saying that pictures couldn't quite describe the intricacy of the work and the high quality finish, I found it strange but now I totally understand. Chuck and the team there do absolutely superb work - please pass on my thanks - it's like a work of art :)

Chuck tends to be too modest about his abilities and the quality of his work. Correct me if I get anything wrong, but as an engineer in the automotive industry , Chuck became an expert in paint, among other things, too.
When he paints something, he cuts no corners. It's done as professionally as is possible. How he created a molded panel for the subwoofers behind the seats is beyond me. He anodizes and a variety of others things.
I could not recommend him any more highly.

Chuch has done the stereo, subwoofer and painted the red enginer covers you see in prior photos. the work is amazing, clean and the car is constantly getting amazing replied on his work. I cant believe how well my car looks, sounds, rides, etc.

Personally, I never even turn on the radio in the car. However, Chuck's setup even made me envious. It looks awesome! And sounds even better.

The engine covers are mine. Chuck painted these, along with my center console and AC console all in Laser Blue. I picked up my car today at the dealership which have re-installed all the components into my Elise again. I'm very happy with the results: it looks spectacular! Hard to catch it in photos, this is one of the things you need to see in real life. Color match with the car is great, no flaws in the paint or whatever else can go wrong. Logo on the engine cover is very precisely painted.
The process also went smooth and fast. I was updated by photos after the paint job.
Based on my experiences, I can recommend Chuck to everyone. Excellent quality and prices: I'm happy.
I would like to thank Chuck very much for the work he has done. Again, my compliments.
